Context and Guidance: Performance-related monitoring (such as uptime, bandwidth, and latency statistics) may not provide the function with the visibility needed to detect and respond to a cybersecurity incident. It is important that monitoring of operational assets (such as networks, systems, and applications) includes security-related statistics (such as failed authentication attempts) in addition to any performance-related statistics.
