Identified cybersecurity knowledge, skill, and ability gaps are addressed through training, recruiting, and retention efforts

Context and Guidance: An organisation can address knowledge, skill, and ability gaps identified in WORKFORCE-4b in a number of ways: existing staff may be trained to acquire new skills, new staff may be hired to acquire the necessary skills, or the skills may be acquired by outsourcing the work that requires them. As gaps are closed, the skills inventory should be updated to ensure that recruiting and training efforts are aligned with current needs.
